Talitha Koum is a child nurturing center located on Clay Street whose mission is to provide mental health therapy for children born into a poverty-stricken area of our city.  Talitha Koum,  in Aramaic, means, "My Child, get up!".

Altrusans will become partners with Talitha Koum to invest in services for the families in the Kate Ross government housing area of South Waco.

Altrusans will have the opportunity to 'serve' through playing with the children, help with Pre-K/Kinder room, administrative assistance, building and grounds maintenance, providing food and personal items, as well as providing financial support related to needed budget items through Altrusa's own fundraising project.

Altrusans can also help with the Pick-A-Gift room, which is associated with the Parenting Meeting, by arranging/displaying items, rearrange and clean out the closet, and recruit and/or provide items for Pick-A-Gift.

Altrusans can provide other financial options through being a personal supporter, grant funding and matching grant opportunities.
